Christopher P. Fuller – Managing PartnerMr. Fuller has over 20 years of private equity and merchant banking experience. Prior to joining Uni-World, he spent eleven years sourcing, executing and managing private equity investments at Industria Partners where he was the founding partner and President, Harvest Partners, First Atlantic Capital and BT Capital Partners. During this period, Mr. Fuller was responsible for 8 platform company investments with an aggregate invested equity value of $197 million and aggregate transaction value of over $4 billion. Mr. Fuller started his career in 1989 at Bankers Trust and Salomon Brothers, where he focused on structured products, raising capital for leveraged credits and M&A advisory. He has an A.B. degree in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College and both a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and an M.E. in Engineering Management from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Erik S. Miller – PartnerMr. Miller has over 14 years of investment experience, including 8 years of direct private equity experience. Most recently, Mr. Miller was a Principal at Carthage Capital Group, a minority-owned private equity firm focused on investing in small middle market companies. While at Carthage, Mr. Miller initiated and led private equity investments and executed all of the firm's transactions. Prior to Carthage, Mr. Miller was an Associate at Chase Securities High Yield Corporate Finance Group where he worked with a number of private equity sponsors to raise over $2 billion in high yield transactions. Mr. Miller served as an analyst within the investment banking firm Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he provided investment banking services to a wide range of corporate clients. Mr. Miller earned his B.B.A. in Finance from Howard University. Scott M. Porter – PartnerMr. Porter has over 14 years of private equity and merchant banking experience. Prior to joining Uni-World Capital, Mr. Porter was a Partner of Cowen Capital Partners, LLC, the private equity affiliate of Cowen Group, Inc. ("Cowen" NASDAQ: COWN), where he spent nine years sourcing, executing and managing private equity investments. During this period, he was responsible for 4 company investments with an aggregate invested equity value of $92 million. In addition, Mr. Porter was instrumental in assisting Cowen in a number of business development activities that included the existing parent company's spin-out and subsequent IPO, the creation of a $500 million healthcare-focused private equity fund, the acquisition of an Asian boutique investment bank and the creation of a Commodity Trading Advisory unit. Mr. Porter started his career working with Mr. Miller as part of Chase Securities High Yield Corporate Finance Group, where he executed over $3.5 billion in lead managed and $7.0 billion in co-managed transactions in the media, telecommunication, healthcare, chemical, consumer products, manufacturing and service industries. He has a B.A., magna cum laude, from SUNY Binghamton University. John O. Utendahl – Sponsor & PartnerMr. Utendahl is a 25+ year Wall Street Veteran with a documented history of success and innovation. John is the founding member and Chairman of the Utendahl Organization - one of the nation's premier full-scale, minority-owned financial service institutions. The organization's five entities include: Utendahl Capital Partners ("UCP"), a broker dealer/investment bank; Utendahl Capital Management ("UCM"), a fixed income asset management firm; UrbanAmerica ("UA"), a commercial real estate fund; United Enterprise Fund ("UEF"), a private equity fund; and Praesidian Capital Investors ("PCI"), a mezzanine fund. John's career began at Salomon Brothers, after which he was a trading desk manager at Merrill Lynch's corporate bond department. John received his B.S. from Long Island University, and then went on to receive his M.B.A. from Columbia University. John is currently on the Board of Directors of Family Promise. He has also served as a director on several boards for organizations that were of particular importance to him, both professionally and personally. These board memberships have included the Securities Industry Association (SIA), the US Fund for UNICEF, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He holds FINRA series 7 and 24 registrations. |
